We are back from the national hobby shop convention

It was a long drive from out shop in northern Indiana to the warm October weather of Las Vegas Nevada to participate in the 2026 NRHSA (National retail hobby shop association) anual expo. We had a great time catching up with the folks at Aerotech/Quest and Estes model rocket companys. But even more important, we got to spend time with owners of hobby shops and distributors. And along the way we added a number of new hobby shops and 2 major distributors. So if you are lucky enough to have a hobby shop near you. There may be some new Starlight kits showing up. And if you have a local hobby shop near by. We hope you support them, without your support of them, the shops will no longer be there. Many shops support local hobby clubs whether it is model rockets, trains, airplanes, rc cars or what have you. It may cost a little more for the rocket engines at the local shop then a big discounters. But the big discounter isn't helping local clubs, or answering questions about rocketry and other hobbys.

And there is something about looking at the actual item to see the quality and style of the rocket in your hands. And chances are they have the glue, paint rocket motors and many other things that will help you along this fantastic journey.

If you have a local store that does not carry Starlight model rockets. Let us know so we can contact them and get them some catalogs, posters and maybe some kits. It is a win win for everyone.
